Rail-Ability Ballast Undercutter
A unique and innovative high-capacity Road Rail Ballast Undercutting Machine with a rail trailer to guard the digging equipment, restrain ballast projectiles and illuminate the excavation. Has the capability to deliver in-line excavation, parallel working, single-line working and switches & crossings (S&C) undercutting, using a production line approach. Supported by a dedicated, experienced and multi-skilled team providing full technical assistance.
- Up to 3.5-metre dig width
- Max dig depth below sleeper 350 mm
- Up to 1 metre per minute output
- On tracked and fully mobilised within 20 minutes
- 6WD for maximum traction and braking efficiency
- Remote ‘E’ stops as an additional safety feature
- Dedicated high-sided 30-tonne ballast trailers
